About The Life of Fi

Most money advice sells something or drowns in jargon. The Life of Fi explains FIRE plainly — just maths and habits, with no sales pitch.

The Life of Fi started from a simple frustration: most money advice is either trying to sell you something or drowning in jargon. FIRE — Financial Independence, Retire Early — deserves better. It's just math and habits, and anyone can understand it.

So we explain it plainly, for ordinary people who want the freedom to choose how they spend their time.

What we believe

  • FIRE isn't deprivation. It's freedom — more time, less stress, and the right to choose what you do with your days.
  • Ordinary people can reach it. You don't need a huge salary. You need to understand the game and get started.
  • Honesty beats hype. We show the assumptions and the sources, and we share what doesn't work as well as what does.

Who's behind it?

The author is anonymous — a deliberate choice, so we can be fully open about the numbers and the trade-offs. The Life of Fi is published by Bullitt Ventures ApS. Read more about how we work.
